Oklahoma City, OK - February 24, 1999 - Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores announced today they are temporarily pulling all Ice Cream Pies and Frozen Yogurt Pies from their freezer cases in all stores. This recall is due to a printing error on the package's ingredient ledger which inadvertently omitted "egg" as an ingredient in the pie crust.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this particular product.

Braum's Ice Cream Pies and Frozen Yogurt Pies are sold exclusively in Braum's retail locations located in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas.

The decision to remove the Ice Cream Pies and Frozen Yogurt Pies from the freezer cases was initiated after it was discovered that the pie crust containing egg was distributed in packaging that didn't reveal the presence of egg. No illnesses have been confirmed to date.

Sales of Ice Cream Pies and Frozen Yogurt Pies will resume when the labels are corrected. According to officials, this should take approximately 5 days.

Consumers who have purchased a Braum's Ice Cream Pie or Frozen Yogurt Pie and feel that they may have an allergic reaction are urged to return this product to any Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store for a full refund or exchange.
