Avandia

Avandia is used to treat "type-2" or "adult-onset" diabetes. In 2007, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Avandia and a number of other diabetes drugs would carry "black box" warnings on the risk of heart failure associated with use of the drugs. This section contains health and legal information on Avandia (generic name rosiglitazone).
